Pressure Piping Definition
Broadly speaking, the pressure piping is all to bear pressure to internal and external of piping, no matter what medium inside. Pressure piping is a part of the pipeline, the pipeline is used for transmission, distribution, mixing, separation, emission, measurement, controlling and preventing fluid flow, composed of pipes, pipe fittings, flanges, bolts, gaskets, valves, and other components or assembling collections of supporting parts and pressure retraining
Pipe Features
1. The pressure piping is a system, it’s interrelated and reinforce each other, Pulls one round to move the whole body.
2. The diameter of pressure piping is large, extremely unsteady ,the working situation is more complex than pressure vessel.
3. Fluid running state of pressure piping is complex, small cushions, change frequency of working conditions is higher than the pressure vessel, such as high temperature, high pressure, low temperature, low pressure, displacement and deformation, wind, snow, earthquake, etc. are all possible effects on the pressure of piping.
4. A wide variety of materials of piping composition and support, all kinds of material have particular characteristics and specific technical requirements, material selection is complex.
5. Leaking point of the piping may be more than the pressure vessels, usually only one valve has five point.
6. Many types
of pressure piping with large quantity, design, manufacturing, installation, inspection,
links of application and management is big, all are different to pressure
vessels.
